Assessment Skills training for Capital Air Ambulance

Assessment Skills training for Capital Air Ambulance.     Continuing their nine-year relationship with Capital Aviation in Exeter, ITS instructors have completed a non-technical skills assessment course for instructors at Capital Air Ambulance.

Capital Air Ambulance provide a patient transfer, retrieval and repatriation service with fully equipped aircraft and highly trained medical teams and they have recently invested in a Learjet 45 to complement their existing fleet of King Air 200 aircraft. This mid-sized jet has a high speed cruise of over 500 mph and a range of over 2,000 miles. The larger cabin gives it a distinct advantage over smaller jets, allowing them to accommodate the patient’s family or travelling companion and luggage.

The ITS course delivers the skills required by instructors for assessing non-technical skills (CRM) during training or checking, on the line or in the simulator. The course meets the proposed EASA requirements as set out in NPA-2014-17
